How to Embed a Video in WordPress
Since this seems to be a very popular subject these days, I figured I’d write a small blog post on how to embed a video in WordPress. Videos can really help the over all ranking of your website. Also, many users prefer videos at times. Especially when it comes to something like a tutorial.
It really helps to get a visual at times when someone is trying to learn something.
Videos are a sure way to make your website stand out.
Not only does it look better, it can encourage more engagement among your users.
More engagement = more traffic!

Did you know that WordPress already has the capability to do auto-embeds?
WordPress can actually embed a video from major sites such as Youtube, Vimeo etc., simply by copying and pasting the videos URL into your post.
To do this, simply right click the video – you will see the below image. Choose “Copy video URL”
From there you just simply paste the URL into your visual editor…..it’s that simple! WordPress will then grab the embed code itself, and upload the video!
Please note that the website has to be a white listed service provider to be able to just copy the URL. A few sites off my head that I know can do it are:

The alternative way is using the “Copy embed code”, and embedding this into your “Text” editor of WordPress. If you are unsure on how to do this, the following video explains it well:
As you can see, things have really been simplified when it comes to customizing websites these days.
